Stretching classes, it’s not male yoga!

Benesse Group offers small group studio stretching classes using the Stretchfit approach out of our Thornbury studio. We have classes scattered throughout the week in the morning and evening and classes run for 45 minutes. In a typical stretching class with us you will stretch most of the major muscle groups in your body.  The Stretchfit approach uses modern equipment that targets specific muscles.  The equipment allows you to be supported in the most comfortable position to enable maximum possible relaxation in each stretch.  It really is amazing just how good you feel after regular stretching on purpose-built equipment.  We have specific guys classes that have tried male yoga or are really stiff and sore.


Why Stretchfit?  I am a bloke so why wouldn’t I just try male yoga?

Guys like our classes as an alternative to male yoga.  The equipment isolates muscle groups so there’s no tying yourself in knots, no guessing “am I doing it right?” no chanting, and no embarrassing moments!  Everyone can do it!

We also use a technique called “PNF” which uses the body’s reflexes to rapidly improve flexibility gains.  Its simple to employ and literally doubles the flexibility gains than static forms of stretching like Yoga.

We use a method known as PNF (known in the field of exercise and medical science).  It’s simple to use and profound in its effects.  This type of stretching is ideal for sports people that have played years of sports and tend to be more stiff or had or have injuries.  We have many male clients that have tried male yoga and find that Stretchfit really hits the mark.  Our female clients range from sports people to corporates that sit at a desk all day.  We have male and female clients of all ages.


I am a runner, I hate stretching but I know I have to do it. So here we have stretching for runners

We provide stretching for runners.  Runners are often very tight in the hips, glutes and hamstrings.  We hit these spots in our classes and our runners love our classes as it keeps them on the track.
